Coopers Lane Coopers lane,running up between no's 14 and no's 16 Grampian Terrace to Battock terrace. This lane was named from its use in the late 19th and early 20th Century by the local baker, Mr. Cooper, to take his cart horse up and down to the field, which at that time lay at the rear of the houses on the site.
Coopers Lane, Torphins You will notice the photographs (May 2009) show a badly washed out footpath together with undermining of the wall foundations. This was caused by severe rainwater runoff from Battock Terrace. The pavement, drainage and kerb at the upper end of the lane have been reworked in late 2008 to prevent this happening again. It is hoped that funds will be made available to Torphins Community Council from Aberdeenshire Council, to repair the pathway in summer 2009.
